YONKERS, NY, Sunday, October 9, 2016 — Canadian flag-bearer Flanagan Memory prepares for the Yonkers International Trot in the best way possible by winning the Allerage Open Trot at the Red Mile in Lexington, Kentucky.

Just six days before the $1,000,000 International Trot at Yonkers Raceway, Flanagan Memory and Brian Sears take down the field of 8 in the Allerage Open Trot in 1:51.2, equaling his lifetime best. The son of Kadabra moved from the back of the pack and surged past his rivals which included fellow International Trot contender Obrigado.

René Dion's champion showed he should not be underestimated on October 15th.

Obrigado will look to rebound off of a disappointing sixth place effort. The even-money favorite in Lexington, Obrigado grinded into contention first over, but tired in the stretch, beaten three lengths by the eventual winner.
